What's Rockin' it for Bill?
Bill was a music aficionado and loved to spend time with family and friends. He also was an avid outdoorsman and kayaker. His foundation intended to put those elements together when deciding on the inaugural Rockin’ it for Bill Boat Cruise.
For the past six years, the North Country continued celebrating Bill’s memory and giving back to the community through these annual riverboat cruises. Two years ago, we decided to move our annual benefit to Watertown, so more people may attend.
We will continue in Watertown this year with a golf tournament at the Thompson Park Golf Course followed by a dinner and concert with Josh Cox and The Rattle Snakes.
Check out an interview with the band’s frontman talking with Carolina Chuck from NBC Watertown in the video posted here.
What Can I Expect?
The day will begin at 10:00 a.m. with an 18-hole captain and crew golf tournament at Thompson Park Golf Course (registration starts at 9:00 a.m.). Each team requires four people. *Please note, the concert is not included in the golfer’s fee.
Concert doors open at 5:00 p.m. and Josh Cox and The Rattle Snakes will begin playing promptly at 5:30 p.m. Thompson Park Golf Course will be closed to the public, so make sure you have your tickets in advance.
***Golf team fees do not include entrance to the concert; tickets are sold separately and can be found on the Eventbrite page.***
